Hello and welcome to Loika's tribute to Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto's relationship from the animanga series Naruto. I will be focusing primarily on written works regarding them here; so if you are looking for media and such, it'd be best if you searched elsewhere. Please also note that this site is focusing on Sasuke and Naruto's relationship, which means: 1) You need to know and understand at least the basics of Naruto (series) to be able to digest what I have to say, and 2) There will be hints - and more - of homosexuality. If you can't stomach the latter, then I suggest you proceed no further.

The Written Works

The First Kiss: Possibly the ground the fandom first built itself upon, and admittedly, one of the primary reasons why I delved into the series. Fortunately, that's not all I'm going to talk about in here - this article outlines the basic foundations of their relationship as friends.

Sakura - Help or Hindrance?: Unlike many others, I hold Haruno Sakura in the highest regard (but that's no excuse for a biased article, I guess). She is a valuable member of Team 7, and, over time, develops into a wonderful character. As her presence has some effect on Sasuke and Naruto's relationship, I will be giving an indepth observation of her actions and their consequences here.

Polar Opposites (or not): As is typical (ignore my generalisation) of popular animanga character relationships, Sasuke and Naruto each have their own tragic pasts. However, they both deal with this in different ways. As a result, there are many similar things about them, but plenty of conflicting factors as well. Possible spoilers* ahead.

Fact and Fiction: Sasuke - I'm completely antisocial and don't like to talk. Naruto - I talk to much and sound like an idiot. Ever questioned the logistics of those portrayals? I, for one, do not care much for them, and usually look for much deeper things when reading fanfiction. That is not to say, however, that this classical cliche picture of the two does not offer its own brand of "good fic"...

The Big Fight: Physical combat, hidden emotional turmoil. Sasuke and Naruto's rivalry can definitely give their relationship a run for its money. What was going on beneath the surface during their battle in the Vally of the End? I've seen so many interpretations of this scene, I thought it was about time I offered my own two cents. Possible spoilers* ahead.

Namesake: This site's namesake, heaven forbid, actually came from a common teenage angst song. And yet despite that, I think the phrase I stole fits the idea of their relationship quite well. Song lyrics and whatnot here.
